July Self-Care Tips
Between summer activities, changing schedules, and everyday responsibilities, it’s easy to put your own needs on the back burner.
This month, our FCCN Network Social Worker, Kareen Santana, LMSW, shares five simple self care tips to help parents and caregivers find moments of rest, balance, and support throughout the summer ☀️💛
1. Get Outside Early
Enjoy a short walk or playtime before the day gets too hot.
2. Rest During Nap Time
Take 10 minutes for yourself instead of doing chores.
3. Keep a Simple Routine
Regular meals, naps, and bedtimes help everyone feel calmer.
4. Enjoy Water Play
A sprinkler, water table, or small tub of water can keep little ones happy and cool.
5. Be Kind to Yourself
You don’t have to do it all. Some days, simply getting through the day is enough.
