Eloise Boston

Eloise A. Boston is the Educational Director of our 411 Dumont Avenue Center (KDVB), located in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. She brings to her position more than two decades of instructional, administrative and leadership experience as a career educator. In addition to her extensive classroom experience as a Lead Teacher with Get Set Kindergarten and the Shirley Chisholm Day Care Centers, she had also previously served as Educational Director with the Bedford-Stuyvesant Early Childhood Development Center. She holds both the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York (CUNY), as well as the New York State Professional Certification in Early Childhood (Birth – Grade 2).
In addition to her academic and professional qualifications in the United States, Ms. Boston is a graduate of the Cyril Potter College of Education in Guyana. She also holds multiple certifications in Developmental Disability and Social Development from the University of Guyana and Mount Royal College in Canada, as well as the Children’s Program Administration Credential from the CUNY School of Professional Studies.
“As a believer in Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, which also speaks to the Universal Design for Learning (UDL), my mission as Educational Director is to ensure that all our team members are equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be able to meet the needs of every child entrusted to our care, whether typically or atypically developing,” she explains. “Over the course of my career, I have witnessed several important milestones in the evolution of Early Childhood Education and I’m confident in our ability to continue meeting and surpassing our school-readiness goals through disciplined teamwork and dedication to the children and families we serve.”
Ms. Boston is married with three adult children, two of whom have followed in her footsteps as educators. She is also blessed with one grandson who loves spending time with his grandma.
