Chanell Bryan is the Educational Director at our 36 Ford Street Educational Center (KASK) in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. She is a career specialist in Early Childhood Education, with more than 15 years of continuous professional experience, expertise and progressive responsibility in the field.
Before assuming this position, Ms. Bryan had previously served as Director of our Sutter Avenue Center (KBYM) and Director of the Infant/Toddler program at KASK. She is also a former Pre-K Lead Teacher in that program, and has formerly served as a public-school teacher in the Elementary Grades with the New York City Department of Education.
Ms. Bryan obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Hartford, and her Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. She holds the New York State Teacher Professional Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth – Grade 2), as well as advanced professional certifications in both School Building Leadership and School District Leadership.
Commenting on her immediate goals for the children and families in our school community, Ms. Bryan says her priority will be to “create a conducive learning environment where I can use my extensive teaching and administrative experience to improve student achievement and create a positive school culture that prepares all our children to fulfill their greatest potential at every stage of their educational journey.”
